Softwall Cleanroom (Econo-Tent)

The Econo-Tent softwall cleanroom is the most economical approach and design for your cleanroom needs. This design is commonly used in the microelectronics and medical mold injection industry as well as many others. Econo-Tent's softwall design allows it to be used as either a totally freestanding room or it can be used in combination with your existing walls and ceiling. Each room comes completely factory prefabricated for minimal on-site erection time and is totally self-contained with all components factory-finished. (Average installation time is 1 1/2 to 2 days from start to certification).

This style of cleanroom can be designed to meet the most critical classification from Class 100,000 to Class 10. Standard rooms range from as small as 3x4' to 30'x60' and 40'x40' (larger sizes available). Custom designed units have varied from a 20'x20'x20' on casters, a 24'x57' (seismically approved), sectional rooms that can be split apart and rolled back to allow access to large items and structural frames that can be lifted and moved with overhead cranes.

A major advantage to the Econo-Tent softwall cleanroom is its ability to be enlarged or reduced. Wall panels and ceiling grids can easily be added or removed as future needs dictate. The Econo-Tent is almost 100% reusable, so if the occasion arises you can take the room (and the investment) with you. Each room can be designed to allow for future expansion so you can purchase the size you need today and increase the room size as your requirements dictate.The Econo-Tent is a truly portable freestanding structure; the support legs can be fitted with welded plates, adjustable leg levelers, and casters which will allow the room to be rolled around. Compare the ease of erecting these rooms to the disruption and contamination generated during installation of sheet rock walls as well as downtime and potential revenue loss.

While the Econo-Tent addresses the need to remove particles from the air, it also has options that reduce or eliminate the chance of contamination from being introduced into the room. The addition of a pass-thru in the wall allows products to be passed in and out of the room without the technician having to leave the cleanroom.
